Hello
world! You know it's been a struggle for finding what exactly to talk
about with you. Conversations should be meaningful - something like
what watching wrestling used to be for us as kids. It's an escape from
reality. A much needed one might I add, which is why it's meaningful.
Well now, I have plenty to discuss, and I want to really hear what you
guys think. Remember, when you speak, people listen. We've had several
interested parties read these entries, and you can make an impact. All you have to do speak.
Allow me to kick off the top this week - A.J. I don't
know where to begin. Whether she's a supposed to be a different brand
of "eye candy" or a media scapegoat for he the lunatic void that has
been long unfulfilled by a woman in wrestling since Mickie James before
her burned bridge with the company, A.J has gotten everyone's
attention. It's honestly one of the reasons that I watch for sure. I
just wonder what is she going to do next. And that honestly should be
what a majority of wrestling is about.
She's had a connection to C.M. Punk that is rather
believable, but at the same time you never know if the company will
switch up things and have her go back to Daniel Bryan. The Kane
involvement to make it a love circle is not even worth further mention.
Ultimately, they've made it come off as sappy at first and then
hilarious by the way she finishes the whichever particular promo. This
past week, as has been building for a while, she had a good lengthy
amount of time on the microphone. And she did well. No lack of
confidence in speech and shortage of words like Eve Torres (don't get me
wrong, I like her - but she's gotta get it together).
I'm curious...Do you think A.J. will stay around or
she's just the hot commodity at the moment. She can hold her own in a
wrestling match too so that's also a factor to consider. Can she even
be used to bring some popularity back to the Women's division. Let us
know what you think!

Part 2
Questions
are lingering whether or not the 1,000 Episode of Raw will be worth
watching. The answer is YES. Let's get right into it. Have you been
wondering why are certain big names from the past popping up here and
there before the 23? Let me fill you in. Yes, as advertised, the Rock
will be there. But they wanted to save the best for that particular
date. Apparently it will be a very big week for the USA network. It's
rumored that the death of a major character on Burn Notice will have
that week too.
I like the Rock as much as the next guy, but his ego
needs no boost so let's move one to whom else will be making an
appearance. Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in the building. DX
reunion time is upon us. The Undertaker is scheduled to be there.
Questions concerning his WM 29 opponent still linger. I am curious
myself. Brock, Cena, and Rocky have been the top candidates. I feel if
Brock did it, then he'd have to lose. You can't have the Undertaker
lose to Brock who really has no loyalty to the company and doesn't
deserve the crown of being the guy who took away Undertaker's streak.
Rocky would bring in major revenue, but I think Vince would be torn on
how to make things play out so that Rocky's popularity with the
wrestling crowd doesn't take a step backwards for beating and possibly
retiring the only consistent enjoyable character since 1990. Cena would
just make fans cringe because odds are he'd win. I was reading in
several articles the same thoughts, and must comment those writers on
their various feelings on how much the company let's John win the
hardest of matches out of the blue. My main reason why I think he'd win
is that he keeps losing at WM. And eventually those loses will work
against his credibility in the record books. Cena would still be the
most obvious choice out of the three. Personally, whatever they do, I
feel it should be about more than the streak. Not streak versus
anything match...just make it a match where the opponent is just
fighting and could careless about the streak. Sorry to get off topic.
The other big name showing up on the 23rd is Brock. He'll be there with
some other major surprises. Should be interesting to see everyone
interact.

How many of us old heads
remember...the faces of wrestling and those that were at the top of
their game in the last 20 years? Early to Mid 90s, it was still Hogan.
From 93/94 to 96/97 it was Bret Hart then Shawn Michaels. The Stone
Cold and the Rock took over. The Cena (Orton who doesn't get his just
due) burst into the spotlight, and now it's CM Punk. Well, for some odd
reason, CM Punk's character has lost some steam. Realistically he's at
a spot that I think fits him. He's not fake or phony with anyone, and
he's respected by nearly everyone.
So why would he not still be considered one of the brightest silver
linings that WWE has to offer in a much less popular world of wrestling
these days? Because like him more of a Heel? Did the world, excuse
me, WWE Universe, like that he used to belittle many of the people
around him and now that's a thing of the past? Or was it that people
liked that him more when he was more unpredictable? I don't know...but I
think the latter thought is what is going in the minds of the WWE
executives. I say this because there are so many routes that he could
with his character, but the one they chose was villian to a special
journey that the Rock is about to embark on to win back the WWE title. I
think the Rock is going to win the title from Punk right after he's
held it the longest, which could be right around the Royal Rumble
time....
And then the Rock will go on to fight Cena in a rematch at
Wrestlemania, where he will lose. Sad for us Rock fans to even fathom
that as possibility, but it is one. It's not a fact or anything like
that. But the possibility is there. And from reading the blogs of
others, I see that some people out there feel the same. I personally
don't want it to go down like that. Cena and Punk need to really get in
huge build up and fight at Wrestlingmania. Or somehow Cena and Randy.
Once again, the fans do not feel the same way as the WWE execs, in my
opinion. The idea of CM Punk Vs. the Rock would be cool. But CM Punk
VS. Austin would be more fitting. Cena and The Rock had their time. It
somewhat lived up to what it should, but then again...it didn't.
Cena's presence is important, but doesn't have the impact that
Rock's does. The only viable person for The Rock to fight at
Wrestlemania would be Undertaker. That's something to watch. You
wouldn't know what would happen. With Rock vs. Cena again, you could
predict either way...and when it's over...you really won't care.
Instead of worry about if Cena is looked at as the ultimate FACE or The
Rock as the GREATEST or CM Punk as the most unpredicable for speaking
out against Vince's family and turning HEEL on The Rock (and all his
fans). They should be build up great match-ups that will leave people
talking for years. Why do you think 99%, no play off NY, can't move
past the attitude era? Or even that of the 80s? Those matches were
classic by design and character. Macho Vs. Hogan, Warrior Vs. Hogan,
Bret Vs. Perfect, Demolition vs. the Rockers, Steiner Bros. Vs. Harlem
Heat...all memorable
Rock Vs. Cena - eh, Cena Vs. Nexus???, Randy Vs. Kane????????
Ok, you get my point.
