Hugo
Chavez, Mao, Stalin, China, North Korea, Cuba. Just a few of the things
that most Americans think of when the word Communism is mentioned. The
last thing that would be thought of is The United States Congress, or
The White House, or any significant aspect of The United States
Government. But in today's political atmosphere this word and these
types of ideals are becoming more and more prominent. From our Secretary
of State praising Mao to our President “hanging out' with Hugo Chavez
and appointing self proclaimed Communists (Van Jones, Green Jobs Czar)
in charge of some of the top agencies. We are now living in a time in
which we are being force fed this idea and lifestyle and most of us
don't even know what it is, so let's explore Communism and get to know
it for what it is.
Communism can be summed up in it's self entitled Communist Manifesto,
which was written in 1847 by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels and
published in 1848. Karl Marx also being the father of the now widely
publicized Marxist economic theory which is obviously named after him.
This is an economic system that essentially puts the wealthy class
against the middle and lower classes of a given society. (That doesn't
describe The President or The Occupy Movement at all.) This economic
model is often used in Communism and used to bring Communism into
effect.
Communism has 10 important and essential components which most people call planks. These 10 Planks are:
Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes
A heavy progressive or graduated income tax
Abolition of all rights of inheritance
Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels
Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly
Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the state
Extension
of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the
bringing into cultivation of waste lands , and the improvement of the
soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
Combination
of agriculture with manufacturing industries, gradual abolition of the
distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution
of population over the country.
Free
education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's
factory labor in it's present form. Combination of education with
industrial production.
The
amazing part is how close the progressive platform is to these planks.
As a matter of fact it's kind of eerie how it describes their platform
to the letter, or is it? I offer the thought that those aren't the words
that I would use for it, the word I would use is REVEALING. It shows
just what their true objectives are and the way they attempt to
implement it boldly and blatantly. It is amazing how far along on the
path we actually are, seeing that over half of the planks are already
implemented in part or in their entirety in various laws on the books in
America today. And they seem to be a permanent fixture in our current
President's platform for his re election campaign.
These
ideals are creeping their way into our daily lives more and more each
day. We need to begin to recognize what these planks are and what they
look, sound, and feel like, so when they present themselves you can
recognize them. Even if they try to disguise, sugar coat, water down, or
hide them with in another argument. We must remain vigilant and alert
to the tricks and lies. Communism is a horrible situation that is
portrayed by the people implementing it as a Utopian Society with gum
drop rain, candy cane streets, and Willy Wonka's factory on every
corner. But in reality millions around the world die every year from
starvation, disease, poor living conditions, countless human injustices.
The truth of the matter is that Communism doesn't work, at least not in
America. We have tasted Freedom and Justice and we Americans have lead
the fight against the human injustices of the world too long to allow it
to happen in our own homes.
