Before You Jump Off, #READTHIS - Apr. 19, 2012 - Living Inside The Outside Of The Ring by O.N.E. Voice

A week has past, and we could
have a lot to talk about. We could discuss a number of things, but who
really cares about any of them? Right? Well if you've taken just a
moment out of your day to read this article then you must care. And if
you care, then you must have enjoyed wrestling at some point in life -
regardless of age. I do have a problem with a man that is certainly of age at
the moment. Eric Bischoff, who's going to turn 57 this year by the
way, has been tweeting about Bret Hart. Really? If you don't know Mr.
Bischoff, you probably are from the millennial generation or just
started watching wrestling because you thought John Cena was
cute....yeah I said that. I don't fall into that category, but I won't
judge you so don't worry.. To describe Eric, he is a wrestling promoter
who was also a TV personality like Vince McMahon. He didn't do a bad
job at it
either. WCW is where he made a name for himself, but he was never the
owner, Ted Turner. And when Vince put him out of work, he eventually
allowed him to work at the WWE/WWF. Even then, he still wasn't the
owner, the man. So anyway now that you know who he is. Here's the
thing that fired me up. He called Bret "another sad, bitter person" out
of the blue for attention most likely. I loved Bret's response. It was
a real man answer.
Bret replied that “Just had an awesome Sunday dinner w/my wife
& two boys. Nothing “sad” & “bitter” about that. #lifeisgood”
The thing that got me about this was that social media is used and
abused by people under the age of ten and men obviously over the age of
50. I'm looking to be in shape and ready to SCRAP at the age of 50 -
yes Scrappy Doo reference for anyone who's in the know ;). But to try
and start Tweeter beef at that age...? Really Eric? And you wonder why
YOU were never in charge. I think Eric is the sad, bitter person. Not
to mention, his character got written off of TV. Yeah his is still a
top executive at TNA, but I see a trend continuing. I can't say
forming. It did that a long time ago. To conclude that, I think a
phrase that's overly misused today fits, Stop Hatin' sir!
Speaking of wrestling promoters. I'll leave you all with this. GM
Johnny Laurinaitis. That's not even a noun and verb, but I made a
sentence with it because his name represents both. He's a noun - a
former wrestler. And he's a verb - constantly butt kissing. I think
his character works for him because off camera, he must really be like
that, minus the fake voice he uses. He's some what of a minature Vince
for now. And he's making John Cena's life and CM Punk's life miserable
like was once done by Vince to the baby faces of the past. We'll see if
it works. It has brought some good television so far. Johnny's
partially responsible for the true face bashing of Cena last week. And
this week we got to see CM do an incredible move with a chair from the
top rope on Mark Henry because of match that Johnny set up. If you
didn't see it, YouTube "CM Punk vs Mark Henry No
Disqualification Match WWE Raw 4/16/12 Part 2/2."
Who would of thought we'd have anything to say about Eric Bischoff
this week. Strange. With some many behind the scenes things going one,
I guess we've got a lot to talk about. I'll see you next time.
Peace & Hair Grease!
