It's official, Monday night wrestling is going back to 3 hours.
Notice the absence of an exclamation mark? Well, it was intentional.
USA seems to be the only entity that's excited about their WWE Monday Night Raw
programming going to 3 hours. Just so everyone has an understanding,
even the WWE did not want to do a three hour show consistently. I think
their problems are not just known by the public. The staff wants to
make the show more exciting too, but stretching it out to be 3 hours
before it has a great buzz going again could bore viewers. I guess only
time will tell.
Raw becoming 3 hours is not the only odd tactic that
you'll see in the coming weeks. In efforts to draw viewers, the WWE
plans to use its top superstars on both shows every week! Every week?
Really? So Cena, Punk, and Orton are the top stars that they want to
put on Raw and Smackdown. You might as well include Sheamus. This is a
mistake in my position. Over using, over saturation. and over exposure
for a wrestler can kill their x-factor and their character in the eyes
of the fans. The simple laws of economics applies here, VINCE. Supply
and demand. The demand is higher when the supply is lower.
And I say this with more empathy than sarcasm, look
at Cena? He's going through a divorce that could have been avoided or
reconciled, but if the company is making Cena work like this, then he's
not going to have much time to fix his marriage. I'll get off that to
show him a bit of respect, but I'll say this...this is a warning for
Randy. The man seems happy with his wife. He better not let this
wrestler life screw that up like it's done to so many other former
superstars and hall of famers.
Well, actually, sad to say. Worrying about his marriage may not be the thing does Randy Orton
in. He has two strikes, and on the third you are definitely out of the
WWE. I'm a HUGE fan of his, and it burns me up to inform everyone that
he's recently failed his Wellness test. According to the information
I've read, this is Randy's second serious "ding" with the company.
Wrestlers with two strikes are usually not the top performers. This
could affect his future there. Randy, or any of Randy's family. If you
Google his name and see this article, please tell him that he has
people behind him. WE DON'T want to see him mess this up. He's my age,
and Cena's only got a year on me. To see them going through turmoil is
pretty disheartening. Y'all are role models and are living out a
dream. Only a small portion of the population can say they are famous,
and even a smaller percentage can say they are doing it in a positive
way. Hang in there gentlemen. Besides Punk, you're all this business
has commercially for their to be a future in pro wrestling.
